PetHabitats is an EPA Preferred Pet Waste Solutions company with a simple but “often overlooked” mission:
Get pet waste out of plastic bags, out of landfills, and into the sewer system where it belongs.
We develop and manufacture flushable, environmentally safe products that make pet waste management possible for any pet owner, anywhere, without extra effort or expense.
We take the EPA's own recommendation seriously. Flush it, Don't Dump it.

The Person Behind PetHabitats
Steven Sarver Sr. isn't someone who sees a problem and shrugs. He's someone who invents a solution.
Over a 45-year career running E-Con Solutions, Steven built deep expertise across energy management, air quality, and large-scale construction — working as a general, electrical, mechanical, and environmental contractor. He's the kind of person who got handed a beef plant's entire water system and came back with something transformative.
When Steven turned his attention to the pet waste problem, he brought that same mindset with him. Not "how do we make a slightly better bag" — but "how do we fundamentally change the way this is done, in a way that's better for the planet?"
PetHabitats is the answer to that question. And as its co-founder and inventor, Steven is still hands-on — still problem-solving, still building, and still driven by the belief that innovation and environmental responsibility should always go hand in hand.
Small Team. Serious Mission.
We are not a faceless corporation with a sustainability page buried in the footer. We are a small team based in Severance, Colorado, who genuinely care about the pet waste problem and have put real work into solving it properly.
And honestly, we are just getting started. The products coming next are going to change the conversation around pet waste management entirely.
